At Cherry Care, we focus on a non-judgmental, humanistic, child centred approach which helps our young people to gain a sense of belonging and value for who they are. Our focus is on accepting and understanding that each child is unique. Unique means that every person has got their own needs, wishes, choices, beliefs, and values which are different from everybody else’s. ‘One size fits all’ does not work when it comes to providing care and support, therefore, each care plan is tailored fit to providing just the right level of personalised care and support.

Who We Are
Cherry Care residential children’s care homes provide professional therapeutic residential childcare, education, and other childcare services for young people and children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. Working alongside local authorities across the country, we seek to place young people of all ethnicities, cultures, religions, and sexual orientations in an environment where they can grow and develop into happy young adults.
At Cherry Care, we believe that it benefits the child, for all involved in their care, to work collaboratively. Through communicating closely with the child’s care team, we provide an extensive care package that utilises a ‘team around the child’ approach, and involves social workers and other professionals, as well as the child themselves, in making decisions regarding their care.
Our specialist training means that our approach to caring for our young people is much like that of a parent. Fundamentally, we seek to create a warm, safe, and supportive environment that encourages young people to express their individuality.
At Cherry Care, we remain mindful that trauma and abuse during their early years can cause many children to present challenging behaviours. Our sensitive approach allows our care to remain non-judgemental and consistent among all our children, no matter what. Through an empathetic, nurturing approach, we identify each child’s unique needs and tailor our care to fit them best.
Ultimately, our aim for all our children is to instil them with confidence and happiness – to create positive memories and a bright future.
